Downtown New York can be a pretty hectic place. Especially when a major league pitcher is throwing baseballs at you.

That nightmare scenario came to life last weekend when Los Angeles Angels ace C.J. Wilson stopped by the MLB Fan Cave to play a little prank on unsuspecting passersby.

To set up the prank, Wilson and the Fan Cave crew propped open a door and put a sign on the outside that read “Say Hello To CJ.” Then they placed a clear sheet of plexiglass in the open door frame and had the Angels hurler stand about 10 feet behind the seemingly open doorway.

When curious New Yorkers stopped to peek inside, Wilson would fire a fastball at the door frame and, more often than not, scare the living daylights out of them.

The reactions of the startled bystanders are priceless, although you have to feel for the poor guy who spilled his coffee all over the place.

Wilson himself had quite the pleasant trip to the Big Apple, allowing only one run in his Friday start against the New York Yankees as the Angels coasted to a 13-1 win.
