The mind games are on for the Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadiens as they look ahead to Game 3 at the Bell Centre.
Canadiens goaltender Carey Price has no interest in engaging in the psychological warfare, however, as he shrugged off the idea that the Bruins have found a weakness in his style of play. The B’s plan to shoot high on Price, whom they said tries to get low when he’s screened to get a better view of the puck.
“I’ve seen a lot of scouting reports on lots of goalies throughout the league, and that’s pretty much the scouting report on everybody,” Price said Monday. “So it’s the same for (Bruins goaltender) Tuukka (Rask), it’s the same for me, it’s the same for (Tampa Bay’s) Ben Bishop, it’s the same for (Chicago’s) Corey Crawford. It’s a pretty irrelevant comment, I thought.”
Price has been solid throughout the first two games of the series, allowing only seven goals — all at even strength — on 85 shots.
