After the second period of Saturday’s second-round playoff series game against the Montreal Canadiens, the Boston Bruins collected themselves and vowed to stay focused.
It’s one thing to say it, but the Bruins executed their plan. After the game, Carl Soderberg told NESN’s Jack Edwards they knew what they had to do in the third period, and he knew they would be able to erase the two-goal deficit because of the amount of trust he has in this team.
The Bruins stayed true to their word, scoring four goals in eight minutes to defeat the Canadiens 5-3 in Game 2. The comeback was reminiscent of the B’s Game 7 comeback against the Toronto Maple Leafs last season and Soderberg noticed a similarity between the two as well — the loudness of the TD Garden crowd.
