Los Angeles Clippers head coach Doc Rivers blasted the referees after his team blew a fourth-quarter lead in controversial fashion during a Game 5 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday night.

“It was our ball,” a frustrated Rivers said, per ESPN.com. “Everybody knows it was our ball. I think the bottom line is they thought it was a foul, and they made up for it. Then, in my opinion, let’s take away replay. Let’s take away the replay system because that’s our ball. We win the game, and we got robbed because of that call. It’s clear.

“Everyone in the arena saw it. That’s why everybody was shocked when they said ‘Oklahoma City.’ That was our ball whether it was a foul or not, and it was, but they didn’t call it.”

Those comments, as expected, cost Rivers a large sum of money. The NBA fined him $25,000 on Thursday.

The Clippers are now on the brink of elimination and need a victory at home Thursday night to extend their second-round series to a Game 7. Los Angeles has never advanced to the Western Conference finals.
