You don’t have to know cricket to appreciate the performance Kieron Pollard put on Monday.
Pollard, who plays for the Mumbai Indians in the Pepsi Indian Premier League, was tracking a ball toward the boundary of the field when he realized he didn’t have the space necessary to make the catch.
So, after snagging the ball with one had as he began to tumble out of bounds, he instead tossed it back into play, chased it down and made a second — even more impressive — grab.
The crowd went wild over the web gem (is it still a web gem if the players don’t wear gloves?), and Pollard soaked it all in, taunting his opponents with a “Shhh” gesture.
Hey, if you make a grab like that, you can showboat all you want.
