Felix DoubrontThe Boston Red Sox’s starting rotation got a a bit of a shuffle this week when manager John Farrell opted to start right-hander Jake Peavy against Minnesota Twins right-hander Ricky Nolasco on Tuesday.

That move dropped Felix Doubront into the fourth spot, and Doubront was able to tally the team’s only win of the week against the Twins on Wednesday, garnering himself Amica Pitcher of the Week honors.

Doubront worked a two-out double in the first, and retired the Twins in order in the second. After a shaky third inning, Doubront was able to keep the damage to a minimum in the eventual 9-4 Red Sox win.

Doubront left the game in the seventh, and reliever Burke Badenhop sealed the deal to make sure that Doubront’s hard work wasn’t for nothing. Doubront’s solid start came at just the right time for the Red Sox, who have struggled to find consistency at the bottom of the rotation.
