Hey, San Francisco, don’t come between a man and his scooter. That’s crossing the line.

Hunter Pence and his customized electric scooter have become quite the pair over the last couple of years, with the San Francisco Giants outfielder using his prized possession as his standard mode of transportation to and from AT&T Park most days. But, on Sunday, someone in the Bay Area had the audacity to steal Pence’s sweet ride that he had parked outside the back of a restaurant, according to Andrew Baggarly of CSN Bay Area.

After signing a five-year, $90 million contract over the winter, Pence could certainly afford to purchase a new scooter for himself, but he’s more interested in getting ol’ reliable back. The outfielder is even offering a reward to whoever returns the stolen scooter.

“It was one of my favorite things that I have,” Pence told Baggarly. “I’m grateful for stuff, but aside from my baseball equipment and my scooter, and maybe my laptop, there are not many (possessions) that I care about.”

The missing scooter is taking a toll on Pence, as he admitted to even having a dream about it Sunday night — a dream that could scare the thief into turning it over to its rightful owner.

“I did have a dream that I saw someone riding it and I tackled him. You can’t control your dreams.”
