Michael Brantley’s timing was perfect Monday night. So was the timing of his team’s Twitter account.

As the Cleveland Indians left fielder dug in against Detroit Tigers relief pitcher Al Albuquerque with the score tied at 4 in the bottom of the 10th inning, the Indians’ Twitter account sent out this little reminder.

The link takes viewers to an Indians game against the Tigers last July, when Brantley victimized Albuquerque with a two run-shot in the eighth inning to break a 6-6 tie at Progressive Field.

Less than five minutes after the Indians’ tweet, Brantley obliged.

Brantley’s walk-off jack was nearly identical to last July’s blast, an absolute laser to right field on a late-inning pitch from Albuquerque, and it was immediately celebrated by the prophetic Indians account.

The slugger’s clutch homer had special significance for the Tribe, as it broke a six-game winning streak for the Tigers, who had come into Cleveland roaring after sweeping the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park.
