Johnny ManzielAfter a wait that probably was much longer than he expected, former Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel was selected 22nd overall by the Cleveland Browns in the first round of the NFL draft Thursday night.

And he celebrated in the most Johnny Football way by buying everyone of legal age at Chimy’s Cerveceria, his favorite bar in College Station, Texas, a Miller Lite and a Fireball shot.

The Dallas Morning News reported that Manziel is friends with Chimy’s general manager Petro Robledo and had stopped into the bar last week to set up the round with him. Manziel left his credit card number with Robledo and planned to spend about $2,000.

The bar held a draft-watching party, which about 250 people attended, with 122 of those patrons receiving Manziel’s gift. Chimy’s also held a raffle for attendees to guess where he would be picked and gave out Manziel-signed helmets and a football.

Robledo told the Morning News that the original plan was to have Manziel appear at the bar via Facetime, but that didn’t happen because he ended up being picked hours after when many expected him to be chosen.
