Johnny Manziel Endorses Andrew Wiggins For Cavaliers’ No. 1 Draft Pick

Drake’s track “Draft Day” might have been on to something.

You’ve likely have heard — or at least heard of — the song, which opens with shout-outs to newly drafted Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel and highly touted Kansas basketball prospect Andrew Wiggins. Manziel even used it as his walk-out tune after the Browns finally ended his draft-night slide.

Now, with the Cleveland Cavaliers surprising the basketball world Tuesday night by earning the No. 1 overall pick in the NBA draft for the third time in four years, there’s a chance that two of the biggest college sports stars of 2013-14 could be playing their pro ball in the same city.

That would suit Manziel just fine, judging by a tweet the former Heisman Trophy winner sent shortly after the draft lottery’s completion.

It’s no lock that the Cavs will use their top pick on Wiggins, as several mock drafts have them instead taking his Jayhawks teammate, center Joel Embiid, first overall. But if they do, expect to see a certain Toronto-based rapper spending a lot more time in Ohio.
