A whole host of New York baseball reporters could really cause some problems for Mets general manager Sandy Alderson if they wanted to.

“A Mets staffer accidentally emailed to nearly the entire New York press corps the credit card info, including security code and expiration date, of the team’s general manager,” ESPNNewYork.com’s Adam Rubin reported Friday.

Another message, reading, “Please disregard the previous email. Sorry for any confusion,” promptly followed.

After winning 10 of their final 14 games to close out the month of April, the Mets have reverted to their usual selves, falling to 4-10 so far in the month of May with a 1-0 loss to the crosstown Yankees on Thursday.
