A basketball rarity, scoring with 0.1 seconds left, is becoming an everyday occurrence in the NBA playoffs.
On Tuesday night, Indiana Pacers guard Lance Stephenson showed off his lightning quick skills and hit the tip-in with 0.1 seconds on the clock against the Miami Heat, and on Wednesday night, it was Nick Collison of the Oklahoma City Thunder accomplishing the incredible.
While tip-in’s typically occur near the basket, Collison upped the degree of difficulty on the buzzer beater, and opted for the 12-foot shot, instead.
Collison’s timely move earned him some bragging rights, but that’s about all that came from it, as the Thunder lost Game 2 112-77 to fall behind 2-0 in the Western Conference finals.
