An early-season Minor League Baseball game between the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers and Quad Cities River Bandits seems like an unlikely setting for one of the highlights of the year.

Omar Garcia would like to respectfully disagree.

With his team leading 5-1 in the seventh inning, the Timber Rattlers center fielder tracked down a fly ball to deep left center and leaped into the air to make a ridiculous diving catch on the warning track.

The TV camera’s narrow shot makes Garcia’s grab seem even more impressive, as the speedy outfielder appears to come out of nowhere to fly across the screen and make the catch.

Garcia is batting at just a .248 clip this season for the Timber Rattlers — the Class-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers — but his acrobatics on Wednesday certainly won’t hurt the big-league aspirations of the 20-year-old prospect.
