Emotions were running high in the first period of Game 3 of the Eastern Conference finals between the New York Rangers and Montreal Canadiens.
After Canadiens winger Brandon Prust was not penalized for a dirty, late hit on Rangers center Derek Stepan, New York forwards Daniel Carcillo and Derek Dorsett sought payback.
Dorsett wound up fighting Prust a few minutes after the late hit on Stepan. While that bout was happening, Carcillo received a game misconduct for shoving a linesman multiple times.
