1400386076_carlCarl Edwards led the way for Roush Fenway Racing with a fifth-place finish in Saturday night’s Sprint All-Star race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Edwards led for a total of 18 laps en route to his top-five finish as teammate Greg Biffle came in 19th after getting caught up in a late-race accident.

Edwards jumped out in first position for the final 10-lap dash to the checkered flag, thanks to his Fastenal “Blue Team” pit crew, but after battling with Jamie McMurray — the eventual race winner — for the top spot, he was unable to move past him and settled for the fifth-place finish.

RFR will return to action Sunday in the NASCAR Nationwide Series at Iowa Speedway.
