CONCORD, N.C. — Roush Fenway Racing’s Ryan Reed unveiled Tuesday a new patriotic design for the No. 16 American Diabetes Association Drive to Stop DiabetesSM presented by Lilly Diabetes Ford Mustang.
This design will run in five of the six NASCAR Nationwide Series races during NASCAR’s “An American Salute” program.
NASCAR’s “An American Salute” program launches Memorial Day weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway and runs through Independence Day weekend at Daytona International Speedway.
“I’m so proud of NASCAR’s support of our military men and women, as well as their families,” Reed said. “I’m thrilled that my American-based partners, the American Diabetes Association and Lilly Diabetes, chose to participate in that salute. The car looks awesome, and I’m hoping we can run out front with it.”
The new paint scheme will hit the track Saturday at Charlotte. The Nationwide Series race airs on ABC at 2:45 p.m. ET.
