The Reds’ all-time leading goal scorer joined NESN.com soccer editor Marcus Kwesi O’Mard on Thursday to discuss what’s going on at Liverpool and other hot topics in the soccer world.

Rush shared his views on Liverpool’s recently concluded season, telling fans how it sets the stage for a 2014-15 season in which it hopes to challenge for honors in both England and Europe. Can Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge replicate their historic goal-scoring form?

Rush also weighed in on the recent changes at Manchester United. Louis van Gaal was confirmed as the Red Devils’ new manager this week, and Ryan Giggs retired from playing and assumed the role as van Gaal’s assistant manager. Rush believes the duo can return Manchester United to the Premier League elite, but how long will it take?

Finally, Rush discussed what he expects to see at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. The tournament kicks off in a few weeks, and Rush shares which European country can be the first to win a world championship on South American soil.
