Oakland Athletics pitcher Sonny Gray found an entertaining — and only slightly cruel — way to have some fun with fans.
The A’s starter passed some time during Wednesday’s doubleheader against the Mariners by tricking some youngsters into thinking they were going home with a souvenir. Gray and a couple of teammates got some serious amusement out of the ol’ ball-on-a-string trick, tossing the baseball over the dugout only to haul it back in as fans reached for it.
Gray must be phenomenal with cats.
