The NBA Draft combine doesn’t come close to matching the popularity, importance and media coverage of the NFL’s version of the event, and that’s part of the reason why many of the top prospects don’t bother attending.

Kansas forward Andrew Wiggins, who is ranked in the top three of just about every 2014 NBA mock draft, showed off his amazing vertical jump at a recent workout. He posted a photo of it to his Instagram.

After seeing this jump, it wouldn’t be surprising if Wiggins could dunk on a 15 or 20-foot hoop.

Basketball fundamentals and smarts are obviously important factors that teams take into consideration when determining who to draft in the top five of the first round, but it’s often difficult to pass on players with this kind of athleticism. Today’s NBA is a game built on speed and quickness, which makes Wiggins likely to contribute at a high level early in his rookie season.

We will have a better idea of which team will draft the Canadian forward after Tuesday’s NBA draft lottery.
