Tracy McGrady finally realized his dream of pitching in a regular season pro baseball game. It didn’t quite go the way he planned.

The former NBA star-turned-pitching prospect got the start on the mound on Saturday for the Sugar Land Skeeters in their regular season matchup against the Somerset Patriots, just over two weeks after making the team’s official opening day roster.

McGrady didn’t last long, throwing just 35 pitches over 1.2 innings and allowing two hits, two walks and two runs, including a solo home run to former major leaguer Edwin Maysonet. Here’s a few samples from McGrady’s start below.

A few things that stand out: McGrady is very tall, and he also has trouble throwing strikes. T-Mac threw just 18 of his 35 pitches over the plate. For a full recap and video of the 34-year-old’s debut, click here.
