Tracy WolfsonNow that CBS will be airing “Thursday Night Football” starting in 2014, the network did some shuffling in its on-air personalities.

CBS announced Wednesday that longtime college football sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson will move to the NFL sidelines.

Wolfson had a commanding presence over the last 10 years as CBS’ lead college football reporter covering the SEC. She will join Jim Nantz and Phil Simms on the Thursday night games and some Sunday games featured on “NFL on CBS.”

“During the past 10 years as the lead college football reporter, Tracy has become one of the most respected reporters in the industry,” CBS chairman Sean McManus said in a statement. “We are excited for Tracy to bring the same tenacity and quality in reporting that she has shown on the SEC sidelines and NCAA basketball courtside to the NFL.”

Wolfson has dipped her toes in the NFL pool before, previously working the 2013 AFC wild-card, divisional and championship games, and providing coverage for the Super Bowl XLVII.
