BOSTON — The Bruins completed an amazing comeback to win Saturday’s second-round Game 2 against the Montreal Canadiens with four unanswered third-period goals.

The comeback began at 10:56 of the final period with a goal from Dougie Hamilton, who jumped into the offensive zone after Brad Marchand gained entry. Hamilton extended his point streak to four games with his second goal of the postseason.

Boston tied the game at 3-3 less than four minutes later with a tally from Patrice Bergeron. After the B’s won a puck battle along the boards, Bergeron turned and fired a quick shot toward Price that deflected off Montreal D-man Francis Bouillon and into the net.

Reilly Smith scored his third goal of the playoffs with a wrist shot from the right faceoff circle that beat Price, who was already down on the ice. The goal gave the Bruins a 4-3 lead and sent the TD Garden crowd into a frenzy. Bruins forward Milan Lucic ended the game with an empty-net goal that hit the right post and bounced into the net for a 5-3 lead.
