BOSTON — The Bruins ended their 13-game power-play playoff drought against the Montreal Canadiens with back-to-back goals by Jarome Iginla and Reilly Smith in the second period of Saturday night’s Game 5 at TD Garden.

Smith’s goal was set up by a beautiful pass from Bruins defenseman Dougie Hamilton. It was Smith’s third goal of this second-round Stanley Cup playoff series, which leads the team.

The next power-play goal was scored 32 seconds later. Bruins D-man Zdeno Chara won a puck battle in the corner and fed a pass to Torey Krug, who found Iginla all alone in the right faceoff circle. The veteran winger beat Canadiens goaltender Carey Price five-hole to give the Bruins a 3-0 lead.
