VIDEO: Tomas Plekanec Embellishment Penalty Leads To Rangers Goal

Montreal Canadiens forward Tomas Plekanec has embellished to try to draw penalties several times in the Eastern Conference finals against the New York Rangers, and he was successful in Game 4.

The veteran center tried to draw another penalty in Tuesday night’s Game 5 at the Bell Centre by making it look like he was hit in the face with a high stick when it was his chest area that was hit.

He was given a minor penalty for embellishment, and the Rangers scored on the ensuing power play. The goal tied the game after New York had trailed 4-1 earlier in the second period.
