Most soccer players don’t have enough speed, power, skill and energy left to pull this off at the end of a game, but Yaya Toure isn’t like most soccer players.

Toure scored one of the best goals of the 2013-14 Premier League season Wednesday in Manchester City’s 4-0 win over Aston Villa.

In second-half stoppage time, the Manchester City midfielder dribbled from inside his own half, brushed off the challenges of two Aston Villa defenders and blasted a shot past American goalkeeper Brad Guzan.

It was Toure’s 20th, and most spectacular, goal of the Premier League campaign.

Only Luis Suarez (31) and Daniel Sturridge (21) have scored more league goals than Toure this season. Both are strikers, and Liverpool’s attack has broken records in 2013-14.

Manchester City’s victory over Aston Villa moved it to within touching distance of the 2013-14 Premier League championship. Toure and his teammates can win the title by beating West Ham United on Saturday.

Toure, 30, will have more running to do, as he is set to lead Ivory Coast in its journey through the 2014 World Cup journey next month in Brazil.
