Many cities have expressed interest in hosting the NFL draft, and they might get their wish as soon as next year.
The league confirmed Thursday that the 2015 NFL draft will not take place at Radio City Music Hall, as it has since 2006. The venue is booked full through April and May, so the league must explore other options, per Bart Hubbuch of the New York Post.
However, Radio City being unavailable doesn’t rule out New York as the host city.

Hubbuch mentioned that the NFL likes working with the Madison Square Garden Company, which would make the Theater at Madison Square Garden and the Beacon Theatre the other options in New York. Still, the league needs to be prepared if the other New York venues aren’t available or to its liking, so it has asked Los Angeles and Chicago to submit proposals, too.

If the NFL sticks to MSG Company venues, the Forum in Los Angeles and the Chicago Theatre would be options in those cities.
