Adrian WilsonThe Chicago Bears have signed five-time Pro Bowl safety Adrian Wilson to undisclosed terms, the team announced Monday.

After playing his first 12 seasons with the Arizona Cardinals, Wilson signed a three-year, $5 million contract with the New England Patriots last year, but he never played a down in the regular season. New England released Wilson in April, but now, he has another shot, as he’ll compete for a roster spot during training camp with Chicago.

Wilson has racked up 25 1/2 sacks and 27 interceptions to go with 721 tackles throughout his NFL career.

The Bears also announced the signing of tight endĀ Jeron Mastrud, who spent last season with the Oakland Raiders and started 12 games.
