Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger traded in his shoulder pads for a glove and a bat, at least for one night.

Before the Pittsburgh Pirates took on the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field on Thursday night, the two-time Super Bowl champion took some swings during batting practice. He also was able to grab some fly balls in the outfield while the Pirates took their hacks.

Though he probably won’t be the next Bo Jackson, Roethlisberger did play a little bit of baseball during his time at Findlay High School in Ohio, where he was an all-league shortstop.

He didn’t look half bad in the cage, hitting some solid ropes into the outfield. The Pirates might want to use his bat to improve their run production, which is 19th in all of baseball.

Steelers fans shouldn’t be fretting, though, it doesn’t look like Big Ben will be leaving his day job anytime soon.
