Milwaukee Brewers catcher Jonathan Lucroy just earned a whole bunch of All-Star votes from everyone not named St. Louis Cardinals fans.

The Brewers are sick and tired of seeing their National League Central rivals — specifically Yadier Molina — take over the Midsummer Classic, so they released a political-style, anti-Cardinals message to incite change.

The good-natured attack ad aims to convince fans to vote Lucroy, who is hitting .335 (the highest among all major-league catchers) with six home runs and 32 RBIs for the division-leading Brewers, into his first All-Star game over Molina, who has played in it in his last five seasons.

From a statistical standpoint, Lucroy is the clear choice as Molina is hitting .284 with five home runs and 25 RBIs this season. But if that isn’t enough, the sound of a baby crying over an image of the Cardinals catcher should be enough to earn Lucroy a spot on the NL roster.

If nothing else, vote for Lucroy because “most importantly, he’s not a St. Louis Cardinal.”
