Bryan Ruiz brought Costa Rica a step closer to a second straight World Cup upset Friday afternoon, beating Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon with a textbook header in the 44th minute.
Costa Rica, which already stunned Luis Suarez and Uruguay in its opening game of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, can clinch a spot in the knockout round for just the second time in its history with a win.
