Minnesota Timberwolves v Golden State WarriorsIt’s no secret that Kevin Love isn’t happy with the way his career is going with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

With six seasons in the NBA under his belt, the star forward has yet to make a postseason. For a player of his caliber, it’s easy to see why he’d be frustrated.

But newly appointed head coach Flip Saunders maintains that he has no right to be.

“Just like I told (Kevin) Garnett, he didn’t have a right to be frustrated,” Saunders told KFAN 100.3 in Minneapolis-St. Paul on Saturday, per ESPN. “Why does any player have a right to be frustrated? You’re either part of the problem or part of the solution.

“Should the team be frustrated? Yeah, the team can be frustrated. But I don’t think any one individual should be frustrated.”

Saunders also maintains that Love is under contract with the T-Wolves for at least one more season and that he expects him to play there, much to the disappointment of Boston Celtics fans who would love to see a trade executed between the teams.

Sources of ESPN said that although Love has a good relationship with Saunders, his desperation to leave Minnesota stems from the state of the roster rather than the coaching. Because of this, Love will likely still opt out of his contract after next season and become a free agent in 2015.
