For television reporters, the public can be unpredictable. You never know when someone around you will try to get his or her 15 minutes of fame.
It’s likely even worse when you’re reporting in front of rowdy 2014 FIFA World Cup fans.
Brazilian reporter Sabina Simonato was live on the streets of Sao Paulo on Thursday when a Croatia fan waltzed up to her and gave her a peck on the cheek. (This was before Croatia took a 3-1 loss at the hands of Brazil, of course).
Though you’ll only understand the broadcast if you speak Portuguese, anyone can see that Simonato handles the situation like a champ. After the kiss, she continues the story as though nothing happened.
