Hall of Fame quarterback Dan Marino is the latest player to sue the NFL for concussion related damages.
A lawsuit filed at the U.S. District Court in Philadelphia included Marino’s name along with 14 other players who are suing the league in an 18-page complaint for not informing them about football-related brain injuries during their playing days, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The legendary Miami Dolphins quarterback joins 5,000 other former players who have sued the league. Marino is one of over 40 Hall of Famers to have filed a lawsuit.
The nine-time Pro Bowler did not list any specific symptoms in the complaint. However, a short-form complaint lists that Marino suffered “repetitive traumatic sub-concussive and/or concussive head impacts during NFL games and/or practices.”
The 52-year old’s lawsuit is one of over 300 filed against the NFL over concussions as the players’ fight to win a $765 million concussion settlement continues.
Marino played in the NFL solely for the Dolphins from 1983-1999 and is arguably the best quarterback to have never won a Super Bowl.
