One downside of being a professional athlete is trade speculation. Having to hear about possibly uprooting your entire life to another city can’t be fun.
David Price has heard a lot of these rumors recently, and it’s not exactly making him the happiest of campers.
With the Tampa Bay Rays holding the worst record in baseball and Price being one of the highest-paid pitchers in the game, they simply can’t afford him (nor win with him). Trading the ace has become a real possibility for the Rays, but having to hear about it on a constant basis — even in small-market Tampa — has ticked off Price.

Cheer up, David. A trade likely will give you the chance to lower that 5.06 postseason ERA.
