Detroit Tigers Running Out Of Viable Options At Shortstop (Video)

The Detroit Tigers are currently one of the best teams in baseball, but they still have one desperate need: a shortstop.

After ruling former Boston Red Sox shortstop and rookie phenom Jose Iglesias out for the season due to shin fractures Wednesday, the Tigers are left with few options. The platoon they’ve been using doesn’t feature any clear starting shortstops.

They could have benefited from signing Stephen Drew, but their reluctance to give up a draft pick saw him signed by the Sox before the draft.
