Will SvitekWill Svitek will not return to the New England Patriots next season.

The veteran free-agent swing tackle signed with the Cincinnati Bengals on Wednesday, the team announced. Svitek started two games for the Patriots in 2013, his only season in New England, after starting right tackle Sebastian Vollmer and backup Marcus Cannon suffered injuries.

Svitek signed a one-year, $1 million contract with the Patriots on March 17, 2013. Svitek was expected to serve as a backup left tackle behind Nate Solder, but when Solder went down with a concussion, left guard Logan Mankins moved over to tackle.

Svitek spent the first six years of his NFL career with the Kansas City Chiefs and Atlanta Falcons.
