Friday has not been Switzerland’s day.

After an exciting victory over Ecuador in stoppage time Sunday, they got off to a terrible start against France in their second game of the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Sixteen minutes into the game, France’s Olivier Giroud sent a header into the top right corner of the goal. A mere 67 seconds later, Blaise Matuidi notched a goal of his own.

Things only got worse for Switzerland from there, as it would take them 83 minutes to get  a single goal, making the final score a miserable 5-2.
