Jose Canseco Will Try To Break Babe Ruth’s Home Run Record In 10-Week Tour

Picture this: Jose Canseco, four dogs and three tortoises (one named “Juiced”) all traveling in a 40-foot custom RV named the “CansecoMobile” for two months.

That’s exactly what’s going to happen, as the former MLB slugger is going on a 16,500-mile tour where he will try to break the records for longest baseball and softball home runs. Here’s what Canseco tweeted on Wednesday:

There are 17 stops in total, as the tour across Canada and the U.S. will begin in Minneapolis on June 17. Here’s more from Canseco’s management company:

Jose Canseco’s Home Run Tour will begin next week and run for over two months as he visits 17 cities in Canada and the U.S. covering 16,500 miles in 10 weeks in the CansecoMobile — a 40-foot custom RV.  He will be appearing at minor league ballparks and charity events challenging local sluggers as he attempts to break the official world record softball longest home run of 510 feet by Bruce Meade and Babe Ruth’s longest baseball home run of 570 feet.
