Sunday night’s game between the United States and Portugal received record TV ratings across the country, but one man in Amherst, Mass., isn’t hopping on the bandwagon.

According to Masslive.com, police say that a woman received a call from the man, who complained her celebrations for the World Cup game were disturbing him from watching NASCAR and listening to Lynyrd Skynyrd.

That’s not all.

The man laced insults at the South American woman and also blamed her for taking jobs away from Americans.

The strange call from the man, who apparently hasn’t heard of noise-cancelling headphones, prompted the woman to contact police. She told police that she felt safe enough to stay at home with her child, but unfortunately for the woman, the number didn’t show up on her phone, so authorities could not prevent the man from contacting her in the future.

Maybe the woman should just leave her phone off the hook when Team USA plays Germany on Thursday.
