Mike Napoli Returns To Red Sox Lineup, Batting Cleanup Against Yankees

Mike NapoliMike Napoli is back in the Boston Red Sox’s lineup Friday night against the New York Yankees after sitting out the previous game with soreness in his toe.

Napoli will play first base and bat cleanup for the Red Sox, who start a three-game road series against the rival Yankees. Brandon Workman will start for Boston after serving his six-game suspension for throwing at Tampa Bay Rays slugger Evan Longoria.

Jonny Gomes will start in left field at Yankee Stadium against New York left-hander Vidal Nuno.
