Mike Trout hit a record-breaking bomb Friday night in Kansas City.
The Los Angeles Angels outfielder came to the plate in the top of the first inning against Royals pitcher Jason Vargas and launched a 489-foot home run that landed in the fountain in center field at Kauffman Stadium.

Trout’s blast was the longest round-tripper of any MLB player so far this season, according to ESPN. It was also the longest in American League history since ESPN began tracking home runs back in 2006 and the longest in the 53-year history of the Angels franchise.
Trout’s impressive display of strength prompts the question: Is there anything that this 22-year-old can’t do?
