It was a storybook season for the University of Maine men’s ice hockey team.
In 1993, the Black Bears were competing against Lake Superior State for their first NCAA Division I hockey title. They were down 4-2 in the third period, but they weren’t done yet.
Maine scored three times in four-and-a-half minutes, solidifying a spectacular ending for its first title and finishing off a 42-1-2 season.
