Philip Rivers’ bolo tie at his postgame press conferences pales in comparison to his attire at a men’s league softball game.

The San Diego Chargers quarterback, along with teammates Danny Woodhead and Eric Weddle, have picked up softball this offseason, which is pretty much every other team in the league’s nightmare. According to a reader who emailed SB Nation’s Bolts From The Blue blog, a few of the Chargers joined a local team, but they did their best to hide the fact that they were NFL players taking on average Joes.

Rivers sported a mullet wig, short shorts and high socks to disguise himself, but to no avail. As it turns out, Rivers in costume looks a lot like Rivers.

Woodhead and Weddle didn’t put quite as much effort into their looks — or any at all — as they even went so far as to wear their Chargers jersey numbers.

According to the reader’s email, the team not stacked with professional athletes actually beat the Chargers-filled team, handing them their first loss of the season. We aren’t sure if we believe that, either.
