Aaron HernandezThe lawyers defending former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez reportedly have subpoenaed the team for his medical records from his time as a member of the Pats, according to Fox 25.

The legal tactics behind obtaining medical records are not immediately clear.

This move by Hernandez’s lawyers comes just one day after they asked a Massachusetts judge to dismiss the murder charge Hernandez faces in connection to the death last June of semi-professional football player Odin Lloyd. They also asked that evidence from cell phone conversations and video surveillance be kept out of the case, claiming they don’t show probable cause.

The trial for this case is tentatively scheduled to begin Oct. 6. Hernandez also faces murder charges in a double homicide in Boston’s South End in 2012.
