Dairis BertansWe won’t pretend to know anything about Dairis Bertans, other than to let you know he reportedly has been added to the Boston Celtics’ summer league team.

Bertans, a 6-foot-4 Latvian shooting guard, has been invited to compete in Orlando, according to a report from The Baltic Course, per a RedsArmy tweet. The 24-year-old averaged 10.3 points per game for Bilbao of the Spanish ACB League this season.

“The Celtics have been following along (with) my progress in Europe, and have invited me to fight for a roster spot on their team,” Bertans is quoted as saying. “I will be going to Boston on June 29, a few days before the start of the Orlando Summer League, so that I could get some more practice in.”

The Celtics have not yet announced their summer league roster, but it is assumed second-year players Kelly Olynyk, Phil Pressey, Vitor Faverani and Chris Babb, among others, will compete with the team.
