Lane Johnson Nick Foles will have to start the 2014 campaign without one of his most reliable offensive linemen.

Philadelphia Eagles starting right tackle Lane Johnson is suspended for the first four games of the regular season after failing a PED test, a league source toldĀ Paul Domowitch of the Philadelphia Daily News.

The NFL spokesman chose not to comment on Johnson’s reported suspension.

The Eagles took Johnson with their fourth overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.

After struggling in his first four games of his rookie season last year, he proved to be dependable during the second half of the season, starting every game of the 2013 campaign.

With Johnson now out for a quarter of the season, the Eagles must rely on their backups. Unfortunately for them, Allen Barbre is the only proven backupĀ lineman for the Eagles. After having some success backing up Jason Peters last season, Barbre will likely replace Johnson for the games he is out.
