Get ready, gamers. Richard Sherman is going to be gracing the cover of “Madden NFL 15.”
The Seattle Seahawks cornerback defeated Cam Newton in the final round of online voting on ESPN.com, garnering 56 percent of fan votes.
Sherman becomes only the third defensive player to be put on the cover of the EA Sports video game, joining Ray Lewis (2005) and Troy Polamalu (2010).

Sherman was apparently excited to win the competition, as he posted the photo below to his Instagram account after the winner was revealed with the caption “Madden Cover!!! Thank you everyone who voted for me!”
