Serbian shooting guard Bogdan Bogdanović is projected as an early second-round pick in this year’s NBA draft and is averaging nearly 15 points per game for his club team, KK Paritzan.

Yet Bogdanović’s season quickly turned ugly in a recent game against rival KK FMP when his head coach briefly choked him before sending him to the locker room.

Duško Vujošević, who is in his third coaching stint with Paritzan, grabbed Bogdanović by the throat after his player picked up a technical foul for arguing with a referee.

Bogdanović understandably was upset at Vujošević and glared at his coach before a teammate quickly escorted him off the court.

Vujošević was asked about the incident after the game and had a rather interesting explanation for his actions.

No matter what “school of education” Vujošević comes from, we’re pretty sure choking is never an acceptable form of punishment on the basketball court. Just ask Latrell Sprewell.
