Stephen Drew Back In Red Sox’s Lineup Against Tigers Ace Max Scherzer

Austin Jackson, Stephen DrewStephen Drew will return to the Boston Red Sox’s lineup Saturday against the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park.

Drew sat out Friday’s series opener against Tigers left-hander Drew Smyly. The 31-year-old shortstop will bat seventh Saturday against the reigning American League Cy Young, Max Scherzer.

Daniel Nava will get the nod in left field with a right-hander on the hill. Grady Sizemore will play right field. Sizemore and Nava will bat fifth and sixth, respectively, behind cleanup hitter David Ortiz.

The Red Sox have lost four straight. They were swept away by the Cleveland Indians before arriving in Detroit, where they dropped the series opener. Jon Lester will look to get Boston back on track Saturday, although Scherzer poses a tough matchup for the Sox.
