If the 2014 Stanley Cup Final between the Los Angeles Kings and New York Rangers is as exciting as the teams’ playoff series in 1981, hockey fans are in for a real treat.

The Kings and Rangers met in the preliminary round of the playoffs that season, and New York won the best-of-five series 3-1. The series will be remembered for an epic bench-clearing brawl that happened in Game 2 at the Great Western Forum in L.A.

Included in the brawl were Kings forward and Hall of Famer Marcel Dionne, as well as future NHL general managers Jim Rutherford and Don Maloney. Over 200 penalty minutes were handed out as a result of the brawl, which featured just about every player from both teams.

In addition to the intense physical play, the teams combined to score 35 goals in the four games.
